Wow! I can't believe it's already June! This year has really flown by. I'm sitting in my home on wheels just checking my e-mail and writing a few thank you notes and such. Trying to get ready to pull out on Friday. We are scheduled to speak in Orange, TX on Sunday. We still haven't found a new truck. We have been looking frantically since last Thursday when our wonderful insurance company decided to total our truck. I'm still scratching my head as to why in the world is took them 6 WEEKS to decide that it needed to be totaled. Chad and I knew that immediately when we saw how the meth heads had damaged our truck. Oh well, there's a reason for everything, right?
Yesterday, Chad went to look at a few trucks but found nothing that we could actually buy. We are hoping for better luck today. I went to Dallas Market yesterday with one of my friends. We had a good time. I bought some baby girl outfits to sell at my booth when we go to churchs. I'm excited to have some new stuff to display. Chad got me a new camera for our 6th wedinganniversary, and I absolutley love it. BUT I can't figure out how to use the converter drive on my computer. Hopefully I will get it figured out pretty soon so that I can post some pics of the trailer on here. Last night, we went to dinner for my sister-in-law's birthday. She chose this little place called Farina's in downtown Grapevine. I have always liked downtown Grapevine - it's so nice to window shop at the little boutiques that the town is known for.
My little brother, Micah is on summer vacation and is staying with us this week. It's always so nice to have him here with us. He's a really good kid.
This morning, we experienced a thunderstorm. In fact, it got so bad that Micah and I went and waited out the storm inside our church here in Euless. Now, the sun is coming out. Thank goodness! It's just a little scary being in the trailer during a storm.
Well, we are have BBQ chicken tonight - the chicken is cooking in the crock pot - with Macaroni and Cheese and Brownies. It will be my first time to use the new little oven. What? I sound scared? No, of course I'm not scared! Of that little GAS (instead of electric) oven? No, no, no! Hopefully I won't be banned from the kitchen!
